My first Richmond Duck Pond Market February 09 2014, 0 Comments

I was very excited to set up my first market stall of 2014 in Heron Square, Richmond on Sunday 9th February. I came prepared with my brand new gazebo and weights, eager to join the queue to begin putting up my stall. I was greeted by comments such as "those weights won't hold the gazebo in this wind" and also "I've never known wind like this before." Feeling slightly deflated I slowly began to unpack my stall whilst keeping a keen eye on the weather.

The other stall holders were really friendly and helped me to set up, giving advice on how to keep the gazebo grounded. It was a blustery day and there were a few gusts where everyone held tight to their gazebos and stock but overall it was a slightly sunny day!

The Market was brilliant and I got to meet lots of new customers, many of whom were locals. There was a great vibe amongst the visitors and stall holders. As a new stall there were many questions as to when I'd be back next so I think the Duck Pond Market will give me a great opportunity to meet lots of new and existing customers.

I can't wait to return on Sunday 23rd February. I already have my eye on one of the chocolate crepes for breakfast!

Hope to see you in Richmond for the next market,
